New idea

After trying a few different things, trying to make my idea work nothing has really come together so I am going to change my idea. Im thinking instead instead of looking at light im going to look at the shadow that light can make. Im going to try to do shadow art and hopfully i will have a bit more luck with that. here are some examples of what im talking about.

Second shootish

Well If im honest these photos didnt really work like i wanted them to but here you go anyway. I made a funel so the light shone in more of a spotlight. which kinda worked i just a brighter light or a smaller location. I tryed to show the light source and where its shinning. I think the photos need some sort of context so its not just a light in a dark room, but im not really sure where to go next. I tryed to get a few good shots but after a few minutes of wondering what the smokey smell was i realised that my light funel was almost on fire so I gave up.

first shoot

Light project proposal

For my project i would like to show how a small but bright colum of light can affect a dark space. I want to photograph an intersesting space in almost complete darkness with only a colum of light coming in from outside the space im shooting in.

Light photography reasearch

this is a photo by Josch Hambsch, which was achieved by leavng the shutter open for roughly 12 hours over night. I realy like how you can see the movement of the stars in a circle. Its cool that you can see something in this photograph that you wouldnt even no happened

This is a photo taken by Philip Bitnar, I like this photo as its quite subtle in a way.. he hasnt gone over the top with his light drawing but theres still quite a lot happening, i like how the background has two different colours, it almost gives the photo a airry feeling.

These two bottom photos i think are extremely cool. I love how the background is either dark or completly black and this one colum of light is illuminating an object. I think i would quite like to play with this with my photography as i think it would be an awsome thing to experiment with.

Week 5 task

My two images are of the construction site at the bottom of my street. During the day time there were people and machines working and lots of activity but almost instantly as 5:30 the noise stopped and everyone had disapeared within a few minutes.

Final images review

For my final images I wanted to show how much can be achieved over one night. Basically I took a camera on a night out and took photos whenever we changed location, I took down the time and the place so that it could be put into the captions. The captions were to show how much was happening and how far you travel over a period of time. My series starts at the getting ready process and goes through pre drinks, partying, town, walking home from town and finally back home again which I think completes the images as a series quite well

Final 7 images

shoot reflections

For my final images I am going to choose photos that still show what is happening in the background to give relevance to the photos, I have tryed to take photos with the subject as the main feature and use the caption to clarify the time and place.. The reason I choose to use captions was to show how much could happen over a period of time, and a caption was a great way to show the information whilst still looking quite formal and not taking away from the photo itself.
